Corralejo Natural Park

This park is one of the places to visit, it is located in the north island area, nearby to Corralejo.

It is a protected area with over 9 kilometres of beaches. Furthermore its white bitch and crystal waters, it stands out for its fantastic dunes formed by strong winds.

Las Palmeras

If you are shopping lover, you absolutely can't not going to LAS PALMERAS. This shoppingcenter is located in Corralejo in the north of Fuerteventura in a tourist intensive area.

It is an open center on three floors that develops around a huge open central square.

It was inaugurated in 2010, and has 24 shops and 356 free parking spaces. 

There are stores like Zara, Fundgrube, Stradivarius, Springfield, Woman Secret, Hurley, Mo.

Grandes Playas Corralejo

During the day in some beach parts uou can find different services including lifeguards, bars and rent sun loungers.. You can sunbath, take a dip into the water or simply relax admiring these beautiful landscapes, forgetting the typical crowd of the most crowded beaches.

Lajares

If during your Fuerteventura's holidays you would like to visit a pretty village of the typical hinterland, I recommended you Lajares.

Until a decade ago it was a rural-untouched village by tourism, nowadays it is definitely one of the most loved popular destinations visited in the north of the island who seek to see the most authentic and pure side of Fuerteventura.

Calderon Hondo volcano

If you like Volcanoes, the Calderon Hondo is a must.

It will take an hour to complete the path, which has an ascent of 160 meters.

From the top of the crater, you will be able to see a breathtaking panorama of the north of Fuerteventura and the south of Lanzarote, as well as being able to observe the lava's flows from the eruptions of this volcanoes' chain.

Popcorn beach

Another location that you absolutely have to visit is Popcorn Beach,o Playa del Bajo de la Burra, as it was originally called.

It is one of the most intriguing beaches in Fuerteventura. The tiny white algae fossils that cover most part of the coast seem exactly like freshly made popcorn!

These algae are called "rodoliti", which its original color has turned white over time. Also, the waves, pushing them ashore, gave them an unique shape.

Lobos Island

This island it's a small islet of 3 square kilometres, in front of Corralejo, that owes its name to the monk seals colony that used to live there not so long ago. Nowadays it is a natural reserve visitable by holding a special permit, which gives access to the island for a maximum of 4 hours and it isn't allow to stay overnight.

However, visiting it is one of the best day trips to take. To reach it, I recommend this ferry tour that already includes the permit.
